Wood is one of the most used materials for building a wall. This is a great asset because it has an affordable price and is practical, it offers a stylish look garden and can be constructed quickly, even if you have no experience in the field. Another advantage of the wooden fence is that it can be easily repaired.

At the same time, it is necessary to treat the wood if you want to withstand in time. It is recommended that before painting apply a primer coat that will protect the wood from the mold.

To protect it against natural factors, you can apply a layer of flame or fire-resistant lacquer after finishing the construction. You can also choose wood paint that you’ll need to reapply when it’s damaged.

For higher resistance in time, the type of wood recommended for the construction of a fence is resinous wood, i.e., fir, spruce or pine. If treated with a protective substance, the life of a wooden fence can be up to 30 years. Another type of wood that is resistant and does not rot quickly is the tannic wood, the most popular in our country being the acacia, which is usually used for the support pillars of the fence.

There are two types of wooden fences, the classic with wooden rails mounted vertically and the ranch, with the tracks, mounted horizontally. Typically, the ranch wood fence is not very tall, does not require the use of many building materials and is easy to fit.

Fences made of stone

Stone is a more durable material than wood, but its construction is thorough and a little more complicated. However, once built, the stone fence will not need repairs as often as the wooden fence. You can choose between natural stone, raw or processed.

The raw stone has irregular shapes and different shades, while the processed stone is cut and polished, making it easier to fit.
